My daughter is married to an American, and in 2011, they left for the US when he was posted there. During her first year in the US, she was homesick and lonely and at times, suffered panic attacks. Doctors were unable to help her and referred her to several psychiatrists.
Not wanting to worry me, I only found out about her condition in April last year when I went over to help her during her confinement period. I was very worried for my daughter. I was in a faraway country and did not know how to help her, except to go on my knees to pray.
While in the US, I asked the Lord to bless my daughter and her newborn baby.
I had just gotten baptised in 2011. While in the US, I asked the Lord to bless my daughter and her newborn baby. I prayed to Mother Mary to intercede and pray for them, and to look after my grandson.
When my grandson cried, I prayed. When my daughter appeared anxious, I continued to pray.
Today, my daughter does not suffer from any panic attacks. She’s also met some Singaporeans living in the US and is no longer lonely and depressed. She enjoys motherhood very much. As for my grandson, he is blessed with good health and is a well- behaved toddler.
God is great, and I know all these would not have been possible without the blessings and miracles granted by our Lord. – Francesca Ho
