My RCIY journey has been a great one. Initially, I was worried about time commitment, meeting new people, and just about everything.

However, I really didn’t have to – the community consists of the most supportive and encouraging people that I have ever met. Contents of the session and sharings have really helped me gain a different perspective of life. I always found it heartening to know that we all struggle, but together with faith and the right mindset, perspectives change. It’s amazing to be around people who truly place God in the centre of their lives, and this is evident in the community.

So you see Jesus in the people around you?

I am thankful for people who have supported me year after year, helped me be more aware of the presence of God in my life, and helped to me to see Jesus in the people around me. I really enjoyed my RCIY experience!

God continually calls us into a relationship with Him.

This journey begins through baptism and lasts throughout our lives. One common way of being in communion with the Catholic Church is through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) or Rite of Christian Initiation of Youths (RCIY).
